OUR SPECIALIST
Dr. Kong Po Marn is a chest physician with extensive experience having graduated with M.B.,B.S. from the National University of Singapore in 1989 and obtaining the membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 1994 and Master of medicine (NUS) in 1995. He began training in Respiratory Medicine in the Department of Respiratory Medicine in Tan Tock Seng Hospital in 1995 and was awarded a HMDP fellowship to train at the National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver Colorado.
On his return, he set up the Non-tuberculous Mycobacteria clinic under the Department of Respiratory Medicine and was in charge of the Occupational lung Diseases clinic. He continued to work in the unit until 2008 when he left as Senior Consultant.
Dr. Kong was also the President of the Singapore Thoracic Society in 2004 and is currently a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine in Singapore, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh as well as a member of the American Thoracic Society.
